As soon as I received this product, my adult son decided he wanted it – and for good reason. This hammock is billed as the lightest weight hammock available, which I believe it is, making it ideal for backpacking. Despite it’s light weight, it will hold up to 400 pounds, so a full size adult can use it. I enjoy spending time on a camp out just hanging out, taking a nap, or reading a book and what a better way than lying in a hammock.
The hardware (straps, caribeeners, etc) are in their own separate bag, making it so that you can cram it into even smaller spaces in your pack. Both stuff sacks easily fit into the palm of one hand. The hammock is so light weight that when you first get into it, it is almost scary wondering if it will hold you. However, the nylon is super-strong and I felt totally comfortable as soon as I laid down. You could get a more heavy-duty hammock, but if you are backpacking, this is definitely the one you want.
